Grape Beta The Beta Grape, Vitis 'Beta', has compact clusters of medium-sized berries. Beta is a blue-black grape with good quality fruit for jellies, jams and juices. It is best grown in deep, loamy, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. This grape tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, but must have good drainage. Grapes need a good support system like fences, walls, trellises, arbors or other structures. Considered to be a good grape for juices and jellies. The flowers are attractive to bees. Birds love grapes, so be sure to plant some to share.
Blackberry Chester Thornless To maintain plants, be sure to water in dry weather and use mulch to conserve soil moisture and control weeds. Blackberries are a delicious gourmet treat that may be eaten fresh or used in cobbler, cake, sauce, jam, jelly or syrup. It is late in ripening, starting in July. Fruit is borne on previous years growth, so cut canes to the ground after they are done bearing. Chester is the most hardy thornless blackberry.

Blueberry Northsky The Northsky Blueberry, 'Vaccinium 'Northsky', is a variety that has small, sky blue berries that are firm and flavorful. It is the most cold hardy of all the blueberries and will be most productive with winter snow cover. The flavor is similar to wild blueberries. It likes an organically rich, medium to wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prune early before spring growth. Blueberries are delicious, exceptionally nutritious, high in bioflavanoids.
Raspberry Bristol Black Firm berries can be handled without bleeding. Raspberries may be grown successfully at an elevation as high as 7,000 feet. They do best in full sun on non-alkaline, fertile loam soil. However, they may be grown in partial shade or under other environmental constraints. Although a well-drained soil is essential for success, a sandy soil will need to have plenty of organic matter incorporated in preparation. Raspberries take little space, live for years and produce crops the second season after planting.
Raspberry Royalty It has a large fruit size and plant vigor of a purple hybrid with the high quality of a red. Excellent for jam or jelly, and if it is picked at the red stage it has the sweet light flavor of red raspberries. Birds also love the fruit, so you may have to share the harvest.
Rhubarb Chipmans Canada Red The Chipmans Canada Red Rhubarb, Rheum 'Chipmans Canada Red', is one of the sweetest of the red rhubarbs with bright red stems that are delicious for sauces and pies. Rhubarb needs deep, moist but well-drained soil, and is generally trouble-free. Slow growth of older plants is a signal that they need dividing.
